Novacort™ (2% hydrocortisone acetate - 1% pramoxine HCl) Gel
Novacort (2% hydrocortisone acetate, 1% pramoxine HCI) is a low potency topical corticosteroid indicated for the relief of the inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of mild corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses. Novacort is a unique gel formulation that combines an anti-inflammatory agent (2% hydrocortisone) and a topical anesthetic (1% pramoxine hydrochloride) in a proprietary biopeptide aloe complex vehicle. The Biopeptide Aloe Complex vehicle (BAC) contains 1% aloe polysaccharides, the fraction found in native aloe and 5% palmitoyl oligopeptide, a biopeptide that has been synthesized to resemble the peptides found in collagen. The Biopeptide Aloe Complex is a patented innovation in topical delivery that is intended to enhance the performance of Novacort.
Novacort is easy to apply and is fragrance-free, dye-free and paraben-free. Novacort is available by prescription only.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT NOVACORT
Novacort is contraindicated in patients who have hypersensitivity to any of the active ingredients. In some patients, systemic absorption of the topical corticosteroids has produced reversible hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal 9HPA) axis suppression and other conditions. Avoid prolonged use over large surface areas, especially with occlusive dressings. Burning, itching, irritation, and dryness have been reported infrequently bollowing the use of topical corticosteroids.
